To volunteer as a fruit picker :

• Take a look at our Harvest calendar : it is updated regularly during the harvest season (between June and November).
• Click on the harvest that interests you to see the details.
• If you'd like to join the pick, fill out the short form and hit Send to submit your request.
• Wait to be contacted (by email or phone) by the pick leader in charge to get a confirmation.
• If you have been accepted for a harvest, please show up, we're counting on you!

Become a harvest leader and help sustain the project

Harvest leaders are the heart and soul of our project on the ground. By bringing people together for joyful, community harvests, they help build connections, mutual support, and stronger neighbourhoods. Through their presence and commitment, they bring the spirit of the collective to life where it matters most—within their own communities.

Share your trees, grow community spirit

Tree owners play a vital role in our project. They are individuals all across the city who share their fruit trees with us—often trees that are unused, neglected, or bear fruit they don’t harvest. By opening their gardens, they create spaces for sharing and connection, fostering solidarity and mutual support in their neighbourhoods. Their trust allows harvests to become joyful moments where both fruit and friendships are gathered.

Food security at the core of our values

Les Fruits Defendus donates hundreds of kilos of fruit each season to local food banks and community organizations. The fruit is either fresh or transformed into delicious jams, sauces, or other preserved items.
